The project to upgrade and expand the route from Km31 (National Highway 3) to the Dinh Hoa National Special Historical Site has a total investment of more than 300 billion VND. The project is invested by the Thai Nguyen Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board and will be implemented at the end of 2021.
The entire route is 33km long, passing through the communes of Binh Yen, Phu Dinh, and Diem Mac (Dinh Hoa district). The project belongs to group B, meeting the standards of a grade III mountainous road with a 9m wide roadbed, 8m road surface, 7cm thick asphalt concrete, and a design speed of 60km/h.
According to the reporter's records, on the days approaching Lunar New Year 2025, the shape of the hundred-billion-dong road is gradually emerging and entering the completion stage.
Currently, most of the construction road surface has been paved with asphalt by the construction unit, ensuring quality and progress. People and vehicles can move through the route easily and conveniently.
In some areas, workers and machines are still rushing to construct the hard bridges: Suoi Dinh, Tin Keo, Na Tam; leveling the ground and completing other auxiliary items.
Mr. Nguyen Van Dong, a worker at the project site, shared that after more than 3 years of implementation, the entire road surface has been basically completed and paved with asphalt.
"Currently, only a few sections of road in Na Tam hamlet are being filled with soil to level the ground before rolling the foundation and spreading the pavement.
Mainly now, the construction of hard bridges, approach roads, piers, and bridge decks is being accelerated to replace the old degraded bridge. We will try to complete some items before Lunar New Year 2025," Mr. Dong added.
Speaking to reporters, Mr. Ma Doan Thanh - Vice Chairman of Phu Dinh Commune People's Committee (Dinh Hoa District) said that the project through the commune is about 7km long and has been basically completed. The hard bridge is in the construction phase.
The project to upgrade and expand the road from Km31 (National Highway 3) to the Dinh Hoa National Special Historical Site of the Safety Zone (ATK) is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2025.
When completed, the route will help improve traffic infrastructure and facilitate travel. At the same time, it will create momentum for the ATK Dinh Hoa war zone to fully exploit its potential and strengths in historical and ecological tourism.
