On March 31, information from the Economic Police Department, Bac Ninh Provincial Police said that through grasping the situation, the unit discovered violations of regulations in medical examination and treatment activities at some medical facilities, affecting the rights and safety of life and health of patients, causing public outrage and affecting the reputation of the health sector.
Faced with the above situation, the Economic Police Department, Bac Ninh Provincial Police, proactively coordinated with specialized agencies of the Department of Health to inspect a number of medical examination and treatment facilities; pharmacies, business establishments showing signs of violations in the field of pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.
Through inspection, the Inspection Team issued decisions to sanction administrative violations in the field of healthcare for 2 establishments and business households: (1) B.G Medical Service Co., Ltd., address: Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street, Bac Giang Ward; (2) B.G Pharmacy, address: Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street, Bac Giang Ward, which had violations in medical examination and treatment and pharmaceutical business; the total fine is 171,500,000 VND; revoking the medical examination and treatment operating license for 3 months for B.G Medical Service Co., Ltd. and revoking the medical examination and treatment practice certificate for 2 months for 2 doctors.
The main violations: Failure to properly comply with professional and technical expertise in medical examination and treatment practice; practitioners do not register for medical examination and treatment practice according to the provisions of law; mixing products that are not drugs with drugs in cases where functional foods are also traded according to the provisions of law...
According to the Economic Police Department, Bac Ninh Provincial Police, these fines are aimed at strictly implementing the provisions of law on medical examination and treatment, management of practice and business in the pharmaceutical and medical fields, issues that have been clearly stipulated by law, but there are still many establishments that underestimate and intentionally violate.
This is also the determination to strengthen the fight against violations in medical examination and treatment and business activities in the health sector in the province, gradually putting this activity into order, as well as protecting the legitimate rights of the people.
According to the reporter's investigation, the Bac Ninh Provincial Department of Health has also just issued a plan on unscheduled inspections of medical examination and treatment practice in the province.
The subjects of inspection include medical examination and treatment facilities that have not been licensed to operate; facilities showing signs of violations; facilities related to reflections and recommendations from functional agencies, newspapers, and citizens; facilities carrying out procedures for self-announcement and registration of practice not in accordance with regulations; and facilities that do not ensure operating conditions according to the licensed license.
