On July 30, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoang, Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Phuoc commune, Ca Mau province, said that at around 7:30 am the same day, a thunderstorm suddenly appeared, causing damage to many properties of people in Phuoc Ninh and Phuoc Truong hamlets. Specifically, 15 houses were damaged (of which, 3 houses were completely collapsed and 12 houses had their roofs blown off) along with a number of auxiliary works. Fortunately, no one was injured.

Immediately after receiving the tornado report, leaders of Vinh Phuoc Commune People's Committee promptly arrived at the scene, mobilizing local forces to quickly help people overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

The People's Committee of the commune is continuing to count property damage to provide support for households whose houses collapsed as well as had their roofs blown off by the storm. In the immediate future, it is to help people clean up, repair, and rebuild new houses to soon stabilize their lives.
Previously, in Ninh Thanh Loi commune, Ca Mau province, a tornado also occurred, damaging 22 houses.
