Expressway to Dat Mui - even if it is a dream, it is not thought about
Mr. Nguyen Van Nuoc, Khai Long Hamlet, Dat Mui Commune, is nearly 70 years old, but when he heard about the highway to Dat Mui, he could not help but be moved: "I still dream and I don't dare to think about the highway to Dat Mui. I have heard that there is a bridge across Hon Khoai Island". Mr. Suong has more than 7,000m2 of land, 2 temporary houses affected by the highway. He did not demand compensation prices, only hoping for the road to be built quickly, while the State could calculate compensation for people who were not affected.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Viet, Head of Khai Long Hamlet, Dat Mui Commune, Ca Mau Province, said that the hamlet has more than 20 households affected. Everyone has been informed, everyone agrees to highly support the state's policy when reclaiming land to build the Ca Mau - Dat Mui expressway.
The section of the Ca Mau - Dat Mui Expressway passing through Dat Mui commune is about 13km long, passing through the hamlets of Ba Khue, Nuoc Soi Bay, Kinh Nam, Khai Long (managed by the Dat Mui Protective Forest Management Board), with a total reclaimed land area of 1,087,458.2m2.
To prepare for the groundbreaking work on August 19, the Land Fund Development Center will coordinate with the People's Committee of Dat Mui commune to develop and approve a compensation and resettlement support plan.
Ready to hand over the site on time
According to Mr. Pham Viet Phong, Secretary of Khanh An Commune, Ca Mau Province: The Ca Mau - Dat Mui Expressway project passing through Khanh An Commune affects Hamlet 7 and Hamlet 8, about 3.4km long with a total of 103 households affected, the total land area recovered is 317,880.2m2. Currently, all households have received the information and most of them agree.
Mr. Nguyen Phuong Dong, Secretary of Dat Moi commune, informed that the commune has proactively coordinated with organizations in charge of compensation, site clearance, implementation of markering, measuring, counting assets, architectural objects, crops, and livestock affected by the project; appraisal and approval of compensation, support and resettlement plans; propaganda and mobilization of people to hand over the site on time as prescribed.
According to the plan, the Ca Mau - Dat Mui expressway will run parallel to National Highway 1 to the end point of the Ca Mau - Dat Mui expressway in Kinh Nam hamlet, Dat Mui commune (intersecting with Ho Chi Minh road) connecting to Hon Khoai island. The entire route has a total length of about 81km, passing through 10 communes, with 2 stops and 8 intersections. Along both sides of the expressway, there are residential access roads and water intake roads for production and travel of people, with a total project recovery area of about 713.09 hectares.
Vice Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee Lam Van Bi commented: Along with the East - West axis routes, the Ca Mau - Dat Mui expressway will be a pillar for marine economic development, exploiting the potential and strengths of Ca Mau province, ensuring solid national defense and security. During the project implementation process, we must ensure a spirit of urgency and on schedule, but must promote fairness and not group interests. What belongs to the people's rights must be defended and done with the highest political determination.
The Ca Mau - Dat Mui Expressway is expected to have 3 organizations, 1,719 households and individuals affected when the site is cleared; of which, 223 households and individuals affected by houses, works, and architectural objects; 112 graves and 40 graves of relatives of households affected by the project.
