On the afternoon of April 24, Vinasarcom (PCTT&TKCN) of A Luoi district said that statistics showed that the thunderstorms on April 23 caused 27 houses and 1 school to have their roofs blown off, with damage below 30%.

In Hong Thuong commune, 8 houses and 1 school were affected; Son Thuy commune had 19 houses with unroofed roofs. The repair work has been urgently deployed: In Hong Thuong commune, 6/8 houses have been repaired, the remaining 2 houses are still being processed. In Son Thuy commune, 17/19 houses have been repaired, and it is expected that all damages will be handled by April 26, 2025.

In addition to housing damage, natural disasters also affected local agricultural production. According to the report, about 50 hectares of forestry trees (mainly 2-year-old cajuput, 5-7cm in diameter) were broken and damaged less than 30%. In addition, about 5 hectares of crops were also affected at the same level.

Of which, Son Thuy commune had 20 hectares of cajuput and 2 hectares of crops affected; Hong Thuong commune had 30 hectares of cajuput and 3 hectares of crops damaged.

In the face of complicated weather conditions, the Office of the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of Hue City said that it is closely coordinating with the Hydrometeorological Station and the Smart Urban Operation Center to promptly update the developments of natural disasters on mass information platforms such as Hue-S, Fanpage IOC, Facebook and official websites. The goal is to help people grasp information quickly, thereby having effective response plans, minimizing damage.
