On the afternoon of October 5, the leader of the People's Committee of Thong Thu commune (Nghe An province) said that a heavy rain with a sudden tornado that occurred at 2:00 p.m. the same day completely collapsed two solid houses, many other houses had their roofs blown off and damaged.
The two households whose houses collapsed were Mr. Vi Van Thang and Mr. Ha Van Huyen (residing in Muong Piet village). Fortunately, at the time of the natural disaster, people were able to move in time, so there were no human casualties.
Immediately after the incident, local authorities were present at the scene, visiting and encouraging the affected families, and at the same time directing functional forces and people to urgently clean up and overcome the consequences.
It is known that during the storm No. 10, Thong Thu commune suffered severe consequences for state works and people's property. Of which, National Highway 48 was seriously eroded.
