Due to the impact of storm No. 10, Ninh Binh province has had heavy to very heavy rain and thunderstorms, with common rainfall of 50 - 100mm in some places over 100mm.
In particular, on the morning of September 29, unusual tornadoes and whirlwinds appeared in Ninh Binh province in Hai Thinh, Hai Anh, Quy Nhat, Hong Phong, Chat Binh, Gia Hung, Khanh Nhac communes... killing 9 people and injuring 32 others. Housing projects, technical infrastructure works, and agricultural land areas were affected and damaged by the storm.
As of 11:00 a.m. on October 30, the whole Ninh Binh province had over 1,200 houses with unroofed, collapsed and affected roofs; 11 schools were damaged; 1 medical station was affected... In addition, 202 electric poles were broken, some power lines were broken, 1 transformer station was burned.
More than 3,100 hectares of crops and trees were affected; nearly 160 hectares of people's aquaculture were flooded; over 1,500 livestock and poultry died due to floods.
Currently, Ninh Binh province is focusing on forces to overcome the consequences of floods and tornadoes. Ninh Binh province has established timely delegations to visit and encourage families of people affected by tornadoes and whirlwinds.
At the same time, direct local authorities and functional forces to mobilize forces to urgently support people to overcome the consequences of the storm, ensuring early stabilization of the lives of affected people.
For the injured victims, the Provincial People's Committee has directed medical facilities to mobilize forces and organize free treatment for the injured in accordance with the direction of the Prime Minister.
