On August 20, Ia Chia Border Guard Station (Gia Lai province) coordinated with local authorities and functional forces to support people to overcome damage caused by thunderstorms and tornadoes in Bia Ngo village, Ia Chia commune.
Previously, at about 8 pm on August 19, in Bia Ngó village, thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds and tornadoes occurred, causing property damage to 18 households.

According to preliminary statistics, there are 3 households heavily damaged, including 2 houses with corrugated iron roofs blown off by the wind, walls damaged and 1 kitchen collapsed.
The remaining 15 households suffered minor damage, mainly damage to roofs, doors and some household items. The tornado also caused 2 power poles to tilt and fall, causing power outages in residential areas.

Ia Chia commune authorities are continuing to review and specifically statistics. Officers and soldiers of Ia Chia Border Guard Station coordinate with local authorities and functional forces to support people in collecting belongings, repairing houses, and handling affected areas.
The unit also supported rice and instant noodles for affected households.
