On the afternoon of June 24, the Standing Committee of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee issued an official dispatch requesting departments, branches, and localities to focus on overcoming the consequences of heavy rains accompanied by tornadoes that occurred in recent days.

At the same time, units are required to proactively implement measures to respond to complex weather developments in the coming time to ensure the safety of people's lives and property.
According to the Steering Committee for Civil Defense of Lam Dong province, from June 17 to 22, heavy rain and tornadoes occurred continuously in many areas of the province.
Natural disasters have caused damage to houses, property of people and some public works in localities such as Nam Thanh, Don Duong, Ham Thang, Phu Thuy, Phu Son Lam Ha, Tien Thanh, Hoa Ninh, Da Teh 2, Da Huoai 2 and Di Linh. Total damage is estimated at more than 3.5 billion VND.

Faced with the complicated weather situation and forecast of continued heavy rain, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee requested the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee to direct departments, branches, and localities to improve the quality of forecasting and early warning work so that people can proactively prevent and avoid.
Localities must maintain a 24/24 hour duty regime in areas at risk of landslides, thunderstorms, and flooding; and at the same time review residential areas, infrastructure works, water reservoirs and hydropower reservoirs to promptly handle arising situations.
For urban areas and residential areas, functional units are required to urgently clear the drainage system to limit localized flooding when prolonged heavy rain occurs.

In addition, functional forces must proactively handle incidents caused by natural disasters, ensuring smooth traffic on key routes.
In landslide, deep flooded or unsafe areas, local authorities must organize traffic diversion, put up warning signs, arrange forces to control and resolutely prevent people from passing through dangerous areas.
