On June 6, the Long An Provincial Electronic Information Portal reported: The Long An Provincial People's Committee has issued a Plan to launch a 9-day and night peak period to clean up marriage data and implement a reduction in marriage confirmation procedures in the province. The implementation period is until August 31, 2025. The implementation content will be divided into 3 phases.
Phase 1 (from May 31, 2025 to June 10, 2025), preparing basic conditions for connecting, digitizing, and cleaning marriage information data of citizens who have registered their marriage at the provincial civil status registration agency, and marital status (divorce) of the People's Court at the provincial and district levels.
Phase 2 (from June 10, 2025 to June 30, 2025), coordinate to update data, synchronously standardize information on marriage status from the civil status database managed by the Ministry of Justice, the Professional Management System for receiving and handling cases and cases of the People's Court managed by the Supreme People's Court with the national population database system to display on the VNeID application.
Phase 3 (from July 1, 2025 to August 31, 2025), deploy the use of marriage status information on VNEID application to serve the settlement of administrative procedures and civil transactions, other requirements as prescribed by law. Organize the review of administrative procedures that require a dossier of the marriage status, and advise the ministries and central agencies to cut the dossier component for administrative procedures that require "confirmation of the marriage status", announcing the abolition of the "issuance of marriage status certification".
Accordingly, provincial departments, branches, district-level People's Committees, and commune-level People's Committees disseminate to 100% of leaders, civil servants, public employees, and workers at their agencies, units, and localities the content of the plan, significance, and importance of the peak period, identifying this as the top priority task, thereby raising awareness and personal responsibility in receiving and handling administrative procedures for people who use household registration data, not requiring people to present digitized documents, integrating information on the VNeID application.
Require 100% of civil servants, public employees, and employees of their agencies and units to authenticate and integrate marital status information on the VNeID application (after the Ministry of Public Security completes the system functions).
Focus on implementing solutions to propagate and promote communication work on the electronic information portals of agencies and units, on social networking sites, and community Zalo groups so that people can access information, join hands to coordinate with forces to effectively implement the peak period as planned.
Organize a review of legal documents and administrative procedures with documents requiring "confirmation of marital status" to propose central ministries and branches to cut down on the procedure for "issuing marriage certificate", and proactively advise the Provincial People's Committee to propose central ministries and branches to cut down on documents related to "marriage certificate".
In addition, establish inspection teams of the People's Committees at the commune level to self-inspect and supervise the implementation of assigned tasks, ensuring completion on schedule according to the set plan.
