On March 28, the People's Committee of Long An province and Vingroup Corporation signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation on promoting green transformation, digital transformation and sustainable development in the province.
According to the memorandum of understanding, the two sides will jointly build a green transformation, green growth and sustainable development program for the period 2025 - 2030. In particular, key areas include: green tourism, green industry, green agriculture, green urban infrastructure, green transport and green lifestyle.
In the field of transportation, the two sides will coordinate to launch the movement "Intensive Vietnamese spirit - For Green Tuong Lai", promote the use of electric vehicles throughout the province and research and deploy the electric bus system.
In addition, the People's Committee of Long An province and Vingroup will also cooperate in implementing carbon credit projects, completing registration documents on international exchanges, ensuring legality and the ability to transfer credits when eligible.
In addition, investment promotion, support for smart manufacturing enterprises, electronics, mechanical assembly and participation in the global supply chain are also the focuses of this cooperation. At the same time, communication campaigns to raise public awareness of green transformation and sustainable consumption will also be promoted, encouraging Vietnamese people to use high-quality Vietnamese products.
The signing of the cooperation agreement between Long An and Vingroup is expected to contribute to promoting the green transformation process in the province, towards the goal of sustainable development in the future.
