On the evening of September 10, in a quick exchange with Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Chairman of Bao Yen District People's Committee Tran Trong Thong confirmed information about the landslide that buried 35 households, causing many casualties in Phuc Khanh commune.
The incident happened this morning (September 10), a flash flood swept through Lang Nu village, Phuc Khanh commune (Bao Yen). According to initial information, the flash flood buried the entire Lang Nu village with 35 households and 128 people.
The Chairman of Bao Yen District People's Committee said that immediately after receiving the information, the district's rescue force and local forces rescued 10 victims, found the bodies of 15 victims, and the remaining 103 people are still missing.
According to locals, this area has never had a natural disaster before, so when the landslide happened, everyone was completely surprised.
The area where the flash flood occurred is far from the center, traffic is cut off, and communication is completely lost, making rescue and relief operations difficult.
Bao Yen district is taking advantage of the time to urgently mobilize forces to approach the landslide area and search for missing people.
