Hundreds of officers, soldiers, militiamen and police went to each house of people in low-lying areas of Da Nang to support evacuation to safety.

On the morning of November 5, many streets such as Hung Vuong, Le Duan, Nguyen Van Linh... were flooded from 20 to 30cm, and authorities were on duty in deeply flooded areas to regulate traffic. Some areas in Hai Chau district were knee-deep in water, and many residents were still unable to evacuate.

The leaders of Son Tra district have also requested forces to block off flooded areas, deep flooded areas, areas at risk of landslides, etc., and not allow people to enter dangerous areas.

In Hoa Tho Tay ward, Cam Le district, Me Suot street, Hoa Khanh Nam ward was also flooded nearly 2m. Authorities were immediately present to evacuate people to safety.

On the same morning, the leaders of An Hai Bac ward, Son Tra district, presented 2 million VND in support to Mr. Vo Van Nhan's household - a household being cleared at the An Cu 4 project. Mr. Nhan himself is currently being treated at Da Nang General Hospital. When he saw the heavy rain, he returned home to prevent flooding but was too late. Although local forces helped move household items and furniture to higher ground, the family still suffered a lot of property damage due to the rapid rise in water.
