The authorities of Tay Ninh province are coordinating to verify the case of a teacher being bitten by a cage crocodile while in the garden.

According to initial information, the incident occurred on the afternoon of October 27 in Thuan My commune (Tay Ninh province). The victim was Mr. P.T.T, a teacher at a secondary school in the area. When he went to the garden to check the fish net, he was suddenly bitten by a crocodile. The animal was identified as weighing about 8 kg.

Hearing the shouts, people around promptly came to support, arrested the crocodile and took the victim to the emergency room. Mr. T. had his wound stitched and is now out of danger.

On the morning of October 29, the leader of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Tay Ninh province said that the Provincial Forest Protection Department is coordinating with the police to clarify the origin of crocodiles. Initially, local people thought that this animal was owned by a household in Tam Vu commune and had previously been in a cage.

The image of a crocodile being beaten to death by people after the attack has spread on social networks, attracting great attention. The authorities are continuing to inspect the management and capture of wild animals in the area to avoid similar incidents.
