On August 20, the Tay Ninh Provincial Land Fund Development Center said that by the end of July 2026, the compensation, support, and resettlement work of component project 4 - Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai expressway, section passing through Tay Ninh province, had achieved significant results. However, there are still 14 cases that have not received compensation, with a total amount of 84.32 billion VND and an area of 1.34ha.
According to the Land Fund Development Center, the entire project has 2,274 affected cases, with a total recovered land area of 252.12ha and compensation amount of 3,154.96 billion VND. To date, 2,260 cases have been paid, reaching 99.38%; the amount spent is 3,070.64 billion VND, reaching 97.33%, while the area paid reached 250.76ha, equivalent to 99.47%.
In An Tinh and Go Dau wards, payment work has been completed for the entire number of cases, respectively 535 and 19 cases. In Phuoc Thanh commune, 556/558 cases have been paid, reaching 98.08% of the funding. Ben Cau commune has paid 128/133 cases, equivalent to 97.23% of the funding. Gia Loc ward alone has 7 cases that have not received money, with an area of 0.63ha and an amount of 48.95 billion VND.
Cases that have not received money are concentrated in problems related to area, compensation plan, land unit prices and disputes. In which, in Gia Loc, there are 3 households that do not agree with compensation area, 3 households that have not agreed on compensation and support plans and 1 household is in dispute. In Phuoc Thanh, there are cases that do not agree with land compensation unit prices and cases that are in dispute. Ben Cau has 5 cases of complaints about compensation prices for houses, architectural structures and site clearance boundaries of Xuyen A road.
In parallel with compensation, resettlement work is also being implemented. There are 147 cases registered to receive resettlement land, while 124 cases have a need to receive compensation money to take care of their own accommodation. The resettlement areas are expected to be arranged in the 10.7ha area in Hung Thuan commune and the resettlement area at Dia Xu canal in Ben Cau commune.
The Land Fund Development Center aims to complete payment and hand over 100% of the site in September. To achieve this goal, the units continue to answer petitions, mobilize people to hand over the site; in case of disagreement, they will request to implement the steps according to regulations.
The Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai expressway project was approved by the Prime Minister in August 2024, with a total length of 51 km, of which the section through Ho Chi Minh City is 24.7 km long and the section through Tay Ninh province is 26.3 km long, with a scale of 4 expressway lanes.
The starting point connects to Ring Road 3 HCMC in Phu Hoa Dong commune, HCMC and the ending point intersects with National Highway 22 (Km 53+850) in Ben Cau commune, Tay Ninh province.
