Ly Son seals a series of fishing vessels at risk of IUU violations

7 fishing vessels that do not ensure registration and inspection documents have just been sealed by the Ly Son Special Zone authorities to prevent IUU violations.

The People's Committee of Ly Son Special Zone has just coordinated with functional forces to seal 7 fishing vessels that are not qualified to exploit aquatic products.

The sealed vessels include: Ship QNg 6627 TS of Mr. Nguyen Tu Nen, ship QNg 66051 TS of Mr. Huynh Ban, ship QNg 06460 TS of Mr. Le Thanh, ship QNg 66087 TS of Mr. Le Van Thau, ship QNg 66144 TS of Mr. Nguyen Tu Bao, ship QNg 96103 TS of Mr. Mai Phu Su, ship QNg 6153TS of Mr. Pham Van Vien.

These vessels are at high risk of violating IUU fishing (illegal fishing activities, unreported and unmanaged), not ensuring fisheries registration and inspection. The sealing of fishing vessels that are not qualified to exploit aquatic products aims to strengthen the management of fishing vessels and rectify the situation of fishing vessels violating IUU fishing regulations.
