On September 12, the Office of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee said that the locality has just issued a plan to organize Mid-Autumn Festival activities for children in the area, with the goal of bringing them a safe, healthy, economical and meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival.
According to the plan, departments, branches and localities will coordinate to organize entertainment activities suitable for the age, associated with the orientation of educating children to preserve their national cultural identity, encouraging creativity through traditional games and toys.
Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee also requires absolutely not to buy or use toxic toys or violent activities, while integrating health care, nutrition and mental health programs for children.
At the same time, localities must proactively review data on children in general, especially children in difficult circumstances, disabled children, orphans, ethnic minority children, children being cared for at social assistance facilities or treated at hospitals... to have appropriate care plans.
Giving gifts, scholarships, bicycles, books, learning tools and rehabilitation activities will be implemented on the occasion of this year's Mid-Autumn Festival.
Notably, from October 2 to 6 (ie August 11-15 of the lunar calendar), the "Full Moon Festival Night" program will take place in Tay Khanh Son commune and Bac Ai Dong commune with the participation of provincial leaders.
The event has many activities such as art performances, lion dances, lantern carts, food tray exhibition competitions, making lanterns and giving gifts to children.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Health to preside over and coordinate with units to implement activities to ensure safety and health.
The provincial Social Protection and Social Work Center will increase the mobilization of organizations, businesses, and philanthropists to contribute to the Children's Protection Fund to support children in especially difficult circumstances to achieve good academic achievements.
In addition, the inspection of food safety and hygiene for the Mid-Autumn Festival will also be tightened, and violations will be strictly handled.
