Rainstorms occurred at noon, making it difficult for people to travel. Some people had to stop their vehicles and find shelter from the rain on the sidewalks or under the eaves of shops.

According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, weather radar images show thunderstorms developing in many areas of Ho Chi Minh City such as Tan Khanh, Phu Loi, An Phu, Lai Thieu, An Phu Dong wards, Binh My commune, Xuan Thoi Son, Dong Thanh, Vinh Loc...

In addition, thunderstorm areas in the Tay Ninh area are moving in the Southwest - Northeast direction towards Ho Chi Minh City, causing thunderstorms in areas such as Tan Phu ward, Tan Nhut commune, Binh Chanh, Binh Loi, Hung Long, Binh Hung... The thunderstorm area is likely to continue to develop and expand into the central area of Ho Chi Minh City in the next 0-2 hours. The common rainfall forecast is about 5-15mm, with some places over 20mm in 2 hours.
