According to a quick report from the National Steering Committee for Civil Defense, heavy rain in recent days has caused 75 communes and wards from Ha Tinh to Lam Dong to be deeply flooded. Currently, 123,677 houses are flooded, of which Da Nang is the most seriously affected, with more than 76,000 houses flooded, 7 people dead, 4 people missing and 21 people injured.
In Hue, there are more than 44,000 houses still in flooded areas; in Nam Dong and Phong Dien districts alone, many places have water levels 1-2m high.
In Quang Ngai province, the water has gradually receded, but 200 landslides are still cutting off roads. Meanwhile, Lam Dong province has more than 3,800 hectares of crops and fruit trees that are severely damaged.
Floods and rains have caused 16 national highways and dozens of provincial and commune roads in the Central provinces to be blocked due to landslides and deep flooding. The North-South railway had to block the Van Xa - Hue section, many trains had to temporarily suspend exploitation.
By noon on October 30, more than 438,000 customers in Hue, Da Nang, Quang Tri and Quang Ngai had no power. Many riverside and low-lying areas have not yet been restored.
To ensure safety, localities have evacuated more than 26,000 people to safe places, while Da Nang alone has nearly 16,000 people having to leave their homes to avoid floods.
The authorities of provinces and cities are still mobilizing maximum forces to support people in cleaning up, restoring production and providing clean food and water.

On October 30, many working groups of the Party and Government directly visited the heavily flooded areas in the Central region to visit and direct the overcoming of the consequences.
Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu inspected Da Nang; Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha was also present in Quang Ngai; Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh worked in Quang Tri; and Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung directly encouraged people in the Tay Tra Bong landslide area.
On the same day, the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention received 29 tons of relief goods donated by the Russian Federation Government, urgently delivered to severely flooded areas.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from now until November 4, the area from Nghe An to Hue will continue to have heavy to very heavy rain, with rainfall in some places exceeding 700mm. Localities are required not to be subjective, continue to be on duty to respond, especially in mountainous areas and downstream of Vu Gia - Thu Bon river.
