The Binh Chuan intersection project (in Thuan Giao ward, Ho Chi Minh City) is being accelerated by units. This is one of the important items of the Ring Road 3 project in Ho Chi Minh City passing through the old Binh Duong area.
This project connects to My Phuoc - Tan Van road, which is a vital traffic route in the North of Ho Chi Minh City. This road connects to dozens of industrial parks and large urban areas.
According to the design, the Binh Chuan intersection is built with two overpasses across My Phuoc - Tan Van road. To serve the construction, functional agencies previously organized traffic diversion, closed lanes on the My Phuoc - Tan Van route and directed vehicles through bypass routes.
The traffic diversion is carried out to create space for contractors to construct overpass items, and at the same time ensure that vehicles can still pass through the construction site.
After more than a year of construction, by mid-September 2026, the structural part of the two overpasses at the intersection has been completed. Along with that, the lanes on the My Phuoc - Tan Van route through the construction area have been reopened for vehicles to circulate.
The reopening of the road helps vehicles no longer have to move through the bypass as before. Traffic on the My Phuoc - Tan Van route is reorganized through the intersection. Meanwhile, the bypass has been closed to serve the construction items here.
According to records, the main structure of Binh Chuan intersection is currently two overpasses that have been completed. Currently, contractors are continuing to construct the overpass railing, complete the underpass and other items.
When reopening My Phuoc - Tan Van road section through Binh Chuan intersection, the traffic situation here is recorded to be more smooth than before, vehicles circulate more conveniently and safer when having to move into the bypass.
The Ho Chi Minh City Transport Board said that Binh Chuan intersection has reached over 72% of the construction volume, and the roadbed, overpass, and underpass items have completed the structural part. Currently, contractors are entering the completion phase. It is expected that Binh Chuan intersection will be basically completed in 2026.
It is known that the Binh Chuan intersection project started construction in June 2023. The intersection has a length of 1.3 km with a total investment of 570 billion VND. This is the earliest construction item of the Ring Road 3 HCMC project section through the old Binh Duong province.
