Ho Chi Minh City - Expanding the search area in Zone A, Le Thi Rieng Park, functional forces discovered 24 more sets of martyrs' remains.

On August 16, forces under the Ho Chi Minh City Command continued to deploy the search and repatriation of martyrs' remains at position 1 (Zone A), Le Thi Rieng Park.

During the day, the force was tasked with handling more than 200m3 of soil, and at the same time expanding the search area in Zone A. The Ho Chi Minh City Command mobilized 3 excavators, 1 dump truck and 2 3.5-ton trucks to serve the excavation and transportation of soil, ensuring the search progress.

As a result, the force discovered and collected 24 more sets of martyrs' remains and 15 sets of artifacts in Zone A.

From June 23 to the end of August 16, 2026, forces have discovered and collected 351 sets of martyrs' remains.

The work of searching for and repatriating martyrs' remains at Le Thi Rieng Park continues to be implemented, with the search scope in Zone A being expanded to fully identify locations that may still have martyrs' remains.
