On January 18, Ms. Bui Thi Hoang Oanh - Head of the Organizing Committee of Thach Ha District Party Committee (Ha Tinh Province) said that up to this point, the entire Thach Ha district has had about 40 cadres, civil servants and public employees apply for early retirement to facilitate the organization to arrange surplus cadres and streamline the apparatus.
Among those who applied for early retirement, there was a case of a member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, who had more than 6 years of work left before reaching retirement age. However, in order to facilitate the organization in arranging surplus staff, streamlining the apparatus and creating opportunities for young staff to contribute, he applied for early retirement.
According to Ms. Oanh, with the current salary, along with the remaining years of work, based on the provisions of Decree 178 dated December 31, 2024 of the Government, it can be temporarily estimated that the amount of support this case will receive is about 2.5 billion VND.
"That number is a relatively accurate estimate, if there is any difference, it won't be much" - Ms. Oanh shared.
Implementing the policy of streamlining the apparatus and rearranging administrative units at district and commune levels in the period of 2023 - 2025, up to now in Ha Tinh province, dozens of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers have applied for early retirement.
Most of those who applied for early retirement shared that they applied to make it easier for their agencies and organizations to arrange surplus staff, streamline the apparatus, and create opportunities for young staff to contribute.
In addition, the support policies for people applying for early retirement are also guaranteed to encourage them to apply for early retirement.
An official from the Ha Tinh Department of Home Affairs said that the fact that many cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers proactively applied for early retirement is good, creating favorable conditions for arranging surplus cadres and streamlining the apparatus for effective and efficient operations.
However, when an individual wishes to retire, the Party Committee and the agency managing that cadre must meet, review, and consider their conditions and abilities before building a dossier to request the competent authority to resolve early retirement.
Therefore, not all people who wish to retire will be granted early retirement.
Implementing the arrangement of administrative units at district and commune levels in the period of 2023 - 2025 in Ha Tinh, Loc Ha district has 11 communes and towns merged into Thach Ha district from January 1, 2025, reducing Loc Ha district.
