According to Lao Dong, the People's Committee of Phu Tho province has just issued Decision No. 1469/QD-XPHC, administratively sanctioning Tang Kieu Duong Import-Export Trading Company Limited (abbreviated as Tang Kieu Duong Company) located in Phu Ho commune, Phu Tho town with a total fine of 356 million VND.
The authorities determined that Kieu Duong organic Company violated regulations on fraudulent food trading on the expiration date on the label, with the total value of the violated goods reaching more than 490 million VND. The products include dried apples and goji berries with production dates listed as 20.05/2025 or 25.05/2025, but were purchased by the company from the end of 2024 and early 2025.
Along with that, this enterprise also violated the regulations on trading in cosmetics of unknown origin, including toothpaste and AILOICE shampoo worth more than 8 million VND; trading in smuggled foods such as Huang Xiaolaine, red roses and dried fruits with a total value of more than 100 million VND.
Tang Kieu Duong Company was also determined to have violated regulations on the production of food products subject to self-declaration of products but did not have self-declaration versions according to regulations.
In addition to the fine, Tang Kieu Duong Company was also suspended from all food production activities for 2 months; had to commit to recall and destroy all violating goods, and bear all costs related to remedying the consequences. The deadline for implementing remedial measures is 10 days from the date of receipt of the decision.
