Voters in Vinh Long province reported that National Highway 1A, the section of road passing through Binh Minh Bus Station, is about 300m low and flooded, with a large volume of traffic, causing many potential traffic accidents, affecting the crops of households around this area.
Voters recommend that this road section should be upgraded and repaired soon to make it more convenient for vehicles to travel and for people around this area to feel secure in producing and growing crops.
After studying, the Ministry of Construction responded as follows: According to the report of the Vietnam Road Administration, National Highway 1 through Binh Minh Bus Station, about 300m long (project from Km2061+150 to Km2061+450), has been invested in to ensure the scale of 4 lanes for motor vehicles with a median strip. The current road surface is smooth, without damage, but there is a phenomenon of localized flooding due to the impact of high tides.
To address the above local flooding phenomenon, the Ministry of Construction has approved the plan to repair the drainage system of sections Km 2061+150 - Km 2061+340, Km 2061+150 - Km 2061+500 in document No. 7955/BXD-KCHT dated August 7, 2025 and assigned the Vietnam Road Administration to organize the implementation, expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2026 to thoroughly resolve the local flooding situation, ensuring drainage capacity and traffic safety on the route.
During this period, the Ministry of Construction assigned the Vietnam Road Administration to direct the unit managing the route to strengthen regular maintenance work, promptly unblock the drainage system to limit flooding caused by high tides.
