On December 15, Yen Hoa Commune Police coordinated with forest rangers to successfully mobilize the household of Mr. Phan Ngoc Song (residing in Trung Dong village, Yen Hoa commune) to hand over 2 pig-tailed monkeys belonging to group IIB to release back into the wild in Vu Quang National Park.
It is known that the two monkeys have been kept in captivity by Mr. Song's family for a period of time.
Previously, on December 11, Vu Quang National Park received a rare, 37kg python discovered by local people and voluntarily handed it over for release into the wild.
This python was discovered by Mr. Tran Duc Minh's family (residing in Tien Thanh village, Ky Khang commune, Ha Tinh) when the cow got lost in their garden.
Realizing that this was an endangered, precious, and rare wild animal, Mr. Minh's family reported to the local authorities and handed it over to the authorities according to regulations.
According to Vu Quang National Park, the above-mentioned python is included in the Vietnam Red Book of Animal Health, strictly protected, banned from exploitation and use in any form.
