Accordingly, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh sent a letter of commendation to the District Party Committee, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Xuyen District for successfully completing the site clearance for the Southern Axis Road Project of the city - the section passing through the district.
This achievement is achieved thanks to the high determination and drastic participation of the entire political system of Phu Xuyen district in proactively removing difficulties and obstacles, speeding up the progress of important technical infrastructure projects, which is of great significance to the socio-economic development of the southern part of the capital.
On May 15, 2025, the entire remaining area was completed for enforcement and handed over the site to the investor. This result was achieved thanks to the perseverance in closely following the grassroots, effective mobilization and persuasion of the entire political system from district to commune, demonstrating a high sense of responsibility in implementing the locality's key political tasks.
Most of the site clearance work has been completely completed in previous years, even in communes with complex situations such as Hong Minh and Chau Can.
This result demonstrates the will and determination of the Party Committee, government and the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Phu Xuyen district in proactively and actively resolving difficulties and problems; contributing to promoting the excellent completion of political tasks of the district and city, Chairman of the Hanoi Peoples Committee Tran Sy Thanh emphasized.
The Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee also expressed confidence and expectation that other localities in the whole city, along with departments and branches, will continue to promote a sense of responsibility, resolutely implement important and urgent political tasks; proactively and boldly remove difficulties right from the grassroots, not relying on or relying on superiors.
The Southern Axis Road Project for Economic Development of Hanoi City (formerly the Southern Axis Road Project of the old Ha Tay Province) has a total length of more than 41km, passing through Ha Dong District and the districts of Thanh Oai, Ung Hoa, Phu Xuyen. Started more than 16 years ago, this route plays a strategic role, helping to reduce the load on National Highway 21B, connect trade, and promote socio-economic development in the southern gateway area of the capital.
