According to the report of the Border Guard Command of Lam Dong province, on the morning of November 11, 5 fishing boats were sunk by large waves.

In the coastal area of village 14, Lien Huong commune, due to harsh weather, big waves, and strong winds, 4 fishing boats were sunk. Fishing boat BTh 81652 TS was anchored in the shore when the waves overturned.
Fishing boat BTh 80347 TS was anchored when the waves washed it ashore, causing it to be stranded and have a bottom tank. Fishing boat BTh 80316 TS was anchored when it was completely sunk by waves.
Fishing boat BTh 82176 TS was moving from the sea to Lien Huong fishing port when it was sunk by waves.

At La Gi fishing port, fishing boat BTh 80088 TS was moving into the port when it was completely sunk by waves.
At around 2:00 p.m. the same day, fishing boat BTh 85974 TS was also moving into La Gi port when it was completely sunk by waves.


According to records on the same afternoon, at Ba Dang estuary, Tan Hai Commune, big waves caused 2 fishing boats to lose water and sink. The authorities and local people coordinated to pull the fishing boat ashore. Then continue to pull the remaining boat.
Fortunately, in the sinkholes and shipwrecks, the fishermen on the boat were all safe, with no casualties.
In recent days, big waves combined with high, fast-flowing water have caused many fishing vessels to continuously sink at the port gates: Phan Ri, La Gi.
