At around 1:00 p.m. on November 11, a fishing boat of fishermen was lost by strong waves when it arrived at La Gi port. The fishing boat sank later. The fishermen on the boat managed to swim to shore.

La Gi Port is located in Phuoc Hoi Ward, Lam Dong Province. Earlier in the morning of the same day, a fishing boat using a trawl net with registration number BTH 80088TS, with a capacity of 90CV, was being tilted and sunk by waves while entering La Gi port.

In recent days, the water of the Dinh River has been flowing rapidly, combined with high tides, making it difficult and dangerous to enter and exit the port. Strong whirlpools and mud and sand are filling the port gates, making fishing vessels more susceptible to incidents.
Previously, on November 8, at La Gi port, 3 fishing boats sank consecutively, causing damage to fishermen's property.
Also on November 11, floodwaters from upstream caused local flooding in some residential areas in Ham Liem commune, Binh Thuan ward, Lam Dong province.

On National Highway 28, at km6, floodwaters also occurred, overflowing through the road, making it difficult for vehicles to travel.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hung - Chairman of Ham Liem Commune People's Committee said that due to heavy rain on the evening of November 10, water from upstream poured in this morning, causing flooding in some residential areas in the locality.
