A dog trader died of rabies

    Dak Lak - A dog trader was bitten on the hand by this animal and later died of rabies.

    On January 21, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) of Dak Lak province informed that there had just been another death due to rabies in the area.

    The patient named N.V.N (born in 1955, M'Drak district, Dak Lak province) works as a dog trader.

    On January 17, the patient had symptoms of fever, irritation, increased phlegm secretion and was taken by family members to Thien Hanh General Hospital for treatment.

    On the morning of January 20, the patient was transferred to the Central Highlands General Hospital for treatment. At this time, the patient had poor communication, was irritable, restless, had increased phlegm secretion, was afraid of light, afraid of wind...

    At 2:30 p.m. the same day, the family asked to let the patient go home with a diagnosis of rabies. The patient died on the way home.

    According to the patient's family, he was bitten by a dog on the hand but did not get a rabies vaccine.
