After receiving feedback from tourist Du Thanh Hang about prices and services after the group of guests had a meal at Bien Bac restaurant, the inter-sectoral inspection team of Bai Chay ward, including representatives of the market management force, Ward Police, Culture - Society Department and Ward Health Station, inspected and verified at the restaurant.
Through actual inspection and camera footage, the restaurant confirmed that a group of 23 adults and 8 children had lunch here on July 5.
The menu and restaurant confirmed that it was consistent with the invoice provided by the group of guests.
The establishment must present a business household registration certificate, a certificate of food safety eligibility, a food purchase and sale contract, and a periodic health check-up certificate of the employee.
At the time of inspection, the restaurant had a menu listing the prices of each dish and combo packages per table.
On July 5th, the group of guests chose to order dishes. However, some dishes have prices that change daily but have not been specifically listed according to the actual selling price.
In the seafood counter area, the restaurant has not arranged price lists.
The inspection team also checked the restaurant's scales. The results showed that the scales were accurate and the inspection stamp was still valid.
Based on the inspection results, functional agencies have fined the owner of Bien Bac restaurant a total of 10.75 million VND for violations related to the three-step inspection process, incomplete price listing and improper preservation of fresh and processed foods.
The inspection team contacted and notified the results of verification and handling of violations to tourists who reflected the incident.
