On the afternoon of June 1, in Vung Tau City (Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province), thunderstorms and prolonged thunderstorms appeared, causing many places to be slightly flooded, many trees to fall.
Recorded on Nguyen Tri Phuong Street (Ward 7, Vung Tau City), a black star tree about 20 years old, about 15 m high, was uprooted and fell onto a white car with license plate 72A-288.xx that was parked, causing serious damage to the vehicle.
After receiving the news, the authorities quickly took action to handle the situation in the rain. However, until the handling was completed, the vehicle owner had not been found.

According to Vung Tau Urban and Green Park Development Joint Stock Company (UPC), the fallen black star trees were growing and developing normally, and there were no signs of leaning before the incident.
Many other places also recorded the situation of trees with broken branches and fallen trees but did not cause damage. For example, on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street (Ward 8), there is also a pink ken tree about 8 m high that was uprooted...
Due to heavy and prolonged rain, many places in Vung Tau City were slightly flooded, however, vehicles could still move, and quickly drained the water after the rain stopped.
Previously, on the afternoon of May 31, Vung Tau City also recorded heavy rain with thunderstorms, causing many trees to fall, but not causing serious damage.
