According to Hanoi Drainage Company Limited, due to the influence of the continental high pressure combined with wind convergence up to 5,000m, from the time of 5:10 a.m., there was widespread light rain in the city but no flooding occurred.
The company has deployed forces to be on duty at key points to handle flooding.
Properly operate the main pumping stations on the system: Yen So pumping station (operating 4/20 pumping at 7:00 a.m.), Cau Buu pumping station, Dong Bong 1 and 2 pumping stations, Co Nhue pumping station, Da Sy pumping station... to lower water levels on the drainage system.
The blast gates operate according to the correct procedures, ensuring traffic safety in low-lying areas.

According to the forecast, the rain will continue for October 13-15, but the amount will not be large, not aggravating the flooding situation in the North. The area has seen three major rains since August 25 following Kajiki, Bualoi and Matmo.
When Matmo made landfall in Guangxi (China) in the early morning of October 6, heavy rain appeared across the North, Hanoi recorded 122 flooded spots in the inner city, Trung Gia and Da Phuc communes (in the old Soc Son) were deeply flooded, some places from 1-2m, more than 4,000 households had to evacuate.
