On the morning of December 11, due to heavy rain, some areas on Pham Van Dong Street and Nguyen Tat Thanh Street (Cu Hin Pass) experienced landslides.
The phenomenon of rockslides down the road in Cu Hin Pass area appeared from last night until early this morning. Continuous rain in the past few days is one of the causes of the above rockslides.
The landslide made one side of the road from Nha Trang to Cam Ranh airport impassable.
To ensure traffic safety, Nha Trang 2 Department under Khanh Hoa Traffic Management and Construction Joint Stock Company sent staff to handle the fallen rocks on the road and installed warning signs.
According to the South Central Hydrometeorological Station, from December 9 to 19, Khanh Hoa will have moderate rain, heavy rain, and in some places very heavy rain and thunderstorms. Heavy rain will be concentrated from December 11 to 15, and will gradually decrease from December 16.
On the same morning, the Nha Trang City People's Committee issued a document requesting the People's Committees of communes, wards, departments and offices to proactively respond to heavy rain, flash floods and landslides that may occur in the coming days.
