The rain started at around 9am and lasted until late afternoon, with rainfall gradually increasing at the end of the day, causing water to rise rapidly in many areas. Recorded in Hai Chau and Son Tra districts - roads such as Le Duan, Quang Trung, Hai Son, Do Quang, Nguyen Hoang, Le Tan Trung... were deeply flooded, causing many vehicles to stall, traffic congestion.
In some areas where rainwater has begun to rise, authorities and people have quickly cleared sewers and collected garbage to block the sewers, to ensure drainage capacity. This is done urgently to limit prolonged deep flooding if the rain continues to develop complicatedly at night.

In order to respond to the risk of urban flooding due to the impact of storm No. 1, from the afternoon of the same day, the Da Nang Department of Construction issued a document requesting relevant units to immediately deploy flood prevention and control solutions.
At the same time, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of the city also issued a telegram, requesting the Border Guard to notify ships operating at sea to proactively take precautions and find safe shelter.
According to the Central Central Region Hydrometeorological Station, due to the impact of storm No. 1, rain in Da Nang and the Central Central Region may last in the coming days. Rainfall is generally from 100250mm, in some places over 450mm. People are advised to proactively prevent flooding, landslides in mountainous areas and traffic accidents due to bad weather.
