On the afternoon of September 23, Mr. Dinh Van Giao - Chairman of the People's Committee of Thuong Hoa Commune (Minh Hoa District, Quang Binh Province) said that heavy rain caused the road to 3 villages in the area to be deeply flooded and cut off.
Accordingly, heavy rain over the past few days has flooded the roads leading to three villages: On, Yen Hop, Mo O - O O, isolating 215 households with 867 people.
The length of the flooded section in Hung Trau area (in Thuong Hoa commune) is about 500m, 2m deep.
“People have switched to using boats for communication, transportation, and food exchange. To ensure people’s safety, the government has restricted people from traveling to this location, only allowing them to travel in emergency cases such as illness or urgent work,” said Mr. Giao.
Mr. Giao added that the weather in the area is still rainy. The government continues to monitor the flood situation and come up with appropriate plans to ensure people's movement.
