Recorded on Duong Dinh Nghe and Pham Van Bach streets (Cau Giay ward), after only about 1 hour of rain, the water rose about 50-60cm above the road surface. Water flooded into some residential areas and buildings, forcing people to use wooden planks and sandbags to block water.

At the Tran Dang Ninh - Nguyen Van Huyen intersection, especially the turnaround area from Nguyen Van Huyen street to Tran Dang Ninh, vehicles encounter many difficulties when moving.

At times, the water flooded to the knees. Some vehicles stalled in the middle of the road, people had to get out and lead their vehicles through the flooded area.
Water also overflowed onto the sidewalk of Tran Dang Ninh street, the section along Nghia Do Park, affecting people's travel.

In a quick exchange with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper - a representative of Hanoi Drainage One Member Limited Liability Company said that the unit has developed a scenario for flood prevention and drainage in the rainy season of 2026.
As soon as the forecast of heavy rain appeared and during the rainy season, the unit deployed forces to be on duty at points at risk of flooding.

According to a representative of Hanoi Drainage Company, heavy rain in a short time caused the water to rise rapidly, the drainage system could not drain in time, leading to flooding in some areas.
After the rain subsides, the unit will deploy forces to clear the sewer system, collect water and organize drainage, in order to limit the impact on traffic and people's lives.
