On the afternoon of April 26, Mr. Vo Ngoc Chau - Head of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Krong Pa district - said that the heavy rain and thunderstorms that occurred in the district on April 24 caused serious damage, causing 69 houses to have their roofs blown off and many areas of people's crops to be severely affected.
According to a quick report from the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue of Krong Pa district, the damage was mainly concentrated in Ia Rsum, Ia Rsai and Chu Racham communes. There were 5 households with damage of over 70%, 35 households with damage of 30-70% and 29 households with damage of less than 30%.
In the agricultural production sector, thunderstorms damaged more than 1 hectare of cashew area in Ia Rsom commune, with estimated damage of about 60 million VND. The total damage caused by natural disasters in the district is about 573 million VND.
Immediately after the natural disaster occurred, the District Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue coordinated with the authorities of affected communes to visit and encourage people.
At the same time, it is instructing people to proactively buy materials to repair their houses, quickly stabilize their lives, and propose that the District People's Committee consider partially supporting households that suffered heavy damage.
