On the morning of December 10, heavy rain lasting for many hours caused a series of roads and residential areas in Phan Rang ward (Khanh Hoa province) to be deeply flooded, seriously affecting people's lives.
Some neighboring communes such as Vinh Hai also recorded flooding, landslides and damage to crops.
On the morning of December 10, Phan Rang ward experienced heavy rain lasting from 8:00 to nearly 11:00.

The rainfall fell rapidly, causing many roads to be partially flooded. Recorded at the scene, main roads such as Thong Nhat and Ngo Gia Tu were flooded from 10-20cm.
In low-lying areas such as Phan Rang market, Nguyen Tuan street bordering Chu Huy Man, the water level rose 35-50cm, making it difficult for people to move and live.
Due to heavy rain pouring in in in a short time, the slow drainage speed has caused some areas to still have deep water.
Faced with complicated developments, many schools such as Ly Tu Trong Secondary School and Tran Phu Secondary School have proactively switched to online teaching and learning to ensure the safety of students, limiting risks when traveling on flooded roads.

Phan Rang Ward People's Committee has mobilized police forces, militia and organizations to support people in raising furniture and moving assets in heavily flooded areas.
In Vinh Hai commune, heavy rain caused many roads to be flooded, making it difficult for people to travel. On some sections of route 702, landslides appeared, posing a potential risk to traffic safety.
Many areas of crops, mainly grapes, onions, and garlic, were also flooded, causing significant damage.
According to records in the past 24 hours, the total capacity of 64 reservoirs in the province (53 irrigation reservoirs, 11 hydroelectric reservoirs) as of 6:00 a.m. on December 9 reached 645.4 million m3, equivalent to 85.8% of the designed capacity.
Khanh Hoa Province Hydrometeorological Station forecasts that on December 10, the sea off Khanh Hoa and Truong Sa Special Zone will have northeast winds of level 6, sometimes strong at level 7, gusting to level 8-9; rough seas, waves 2-5m high.
In the next 24 hours, the water level on rivers in Khanh Hoa is likely to appear at flood level 1-2, some rivers may exceed alert level 2.
