Khanh Hoa - Heavy rain has caused units to increase guard duty on many pass routes, proactively responding to the risk of landslides.

On May 31, news from the Central Hydrometeorological Station, currently many areas in Khanh Hoa province such as Nha Trang, Phan Rang, Dien Khanh, Khanh Son, Ninh Son, Lam Son..., have experienced heavy rain.

According to a representative of the Khanh Hoa Traffic Works Maintenance Management Board, road management units are currently on duty at Khanh Le Pass, Khanh Son Pass and Ngoan Muc Pass to proactively respond when landslides occur.

According to the leader of this unit, up to now, Khanh Le and Khanh Son pass routes have not recorded landslides.

However, functional forces have arranged warning signs at key locations, and at the same time advised people to limit traffic in bad weather conditions.

According to the forecast bulletin of the Central Hydrometeorological Station, on May 31, the offshore sea area of Khanh Hoa province, including the Truong Sa special zone, will continue to have showers and scattered thunderstorms. In thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, strong gusts of wind at level 6-7, sea waves over 2m high.

In addition, in the afternoon and evening of May 31, the eastern region of provinces from Gia Lai to Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa and many other places in the Central Highlands region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain. Common rainfall from 15-30mm, some places may exceed 80mm.

The meteorological agency warns that during thunderstorms there is a risk of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
