For many days, prolonged heavy rain in Ninh Binh province has caused deep flooding in some areas of Quy Nhat commune. As a locality with strengths in crop production, many production and farming areas of Quy Nhat commune people are being affected.
On September 16, reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper recorded that in some areas in Quy Nhat commune, the river water level rose, in some low-lying areas flooded from 60 - 70 cm, seriously affecting traffic and people's lives.
The water rises rapidly, many households do not have time to raise rice, paddy and other items, facing the risk of damage and property damage. In aquaculture areas, people proactively mobilize forces to net and reinforce pond banks, but many farming areas are still affected, causing damage.


People said: "We people have proactively built embankments, planted nets, and reinforced around the pond to prevent water. But then the water rushed in too quickly, we didn't have time to react. Almost all the low-lying fields were flooded, there was nothing left.
Faced with the complicated developments of the weather, Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee has requested departments, agencies, branches and People's Committees of communes and wards to deploy shock forces to inspect, review, and proactively organize the relocation and evacuation of people in riverside areas, streams, low-lying areas, at risk of deep flooding and landslides to safe places, especially areas where heavy rain has occurred.


In addition, clear the flow; be ready with on-site forces to promptly support people to overcome the consequences, arrange on-duty forces to operate and regulate reservoirs and be ready to handle possible situations. Inspect, review and deploy on-the-spot dike protection plans, protect key dyke points, promptly detect and handle incidents and situations that may occur right from the first hour.
