Colonel Ngo Thanh Binh has held many different positions from Captain, Deputy Head of Department, Head of Department. In 2015, Colonel Ngo Thanh Binh was appointed Deputy Director of the Department of Drug Crime Investigation.
During his time working at the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, Colonel Ngo Thanh Binh directly and directed the fight against many major drug projects, typically the 218LP project, seizing nearly 1.2 tons of drugs, the 719DL project, seizing 500kg of ketamine in Ho Chi Minh City. At the same time, he advised on many important documents in drug prevention and control, especially the Law on Drug Prevention and Control 2021.
In November 2021, Colonel Ngo Thanh Binh was transferred and appointed to the position of Director of Dien Bien Provincial Police. During his tenure as Director of Dien Bien Provincial Police, Colonel Ngo Thanh Binh has resolutely and effectively directed the task of ensuring political security in the area, preventing illegal gatherings, inciting, protests, and riots.
