On the afternoon of August 30, Mr. Le Tien Manh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Ia Pa commune (Gia Lai province) said that heavy rain that has lasted for many days has caused landslides in the area of the culvert over Dak Ia Hiao stream, isolating 341 households in Mo Nang village.
By the afternoon of the same day, the floodwaters had gradually receded, but the road section through the culvert was severely damaged. The strong current swept away the previous temporary layer of reinforced gravel, causing the road surface to break, exposing many large rocks.
Currently, motor vehicles and motorbikes cannot circulate, and people are forced to walk through the stream.

The Commune People's Committee has arranged forces of cadres and militia to be on duty in the area to support and ensure safety, avoiding damage to people and property. At the same time, wait for the water to recede before continuing to reinforce the road with stone cages...
Mr. Manh added: In the long term, Ia Pa commune has proposed the Provincial People's Committee to include in the public investment plan for the 2026-2030 period the road through the spillway leading to Mo Nang village. Because every year, heavy rain causes damage and heavy flooding. The province has agreed to the policy of building a new road and upgrading this road".
