Due to heavy rain from the afternoon of August 29, this afternoon (8. 30), Ha Tinh experienced localized flooding, causing disruption on some roads.
Currently, some lakes, dams, and hydropower plants are regulating overflow, causing the risk of flooding to continue to increase.
In Phuc Trach commune, National Highway 15 was flooded up to 50cm deep, and authorities set up barriers to block the road from early morning.


On some roads in Ha Linh, Mai Hoa, Can Loc, Huong Xuan communes, there were also local flooding, causing isolation. The police of these localities were on duty and put up signs prohibiting vehicles from passing through deeply flooded areas.
Heavy rain, from 9:00 a.m. on August 30, Ho Ho Hydropower Plant has regulated discharge with a flow of 682m3/s; Ke Go Lake discharges 90 m3/s (all overflow gates have been opened); Rach River discharges 110 m3/s; Boc Nguyen Lake discharges 25 m3/s...
It is forecasted that in the next 3 - 6 hours, Ha Tinh area will continue to have rain with accumulated rainfall from 50 - 100mm, some places over 150mm.



Heavy rain causes local flooding and there is a risk of landslides on steep slopes, mountainous areas, along rivers and coastal areas.
From the morning of August 30 to the end of August 31, Ha Tinh will have heavy to very heavy rain and thunderstorms. The total rainfall of the forecast locations of Nghi Xuan, Bac Hong Linh, Can Loc, Thanh Sen, Thach Ha, Huong Khe, Cam Xuyen, Ky Anh, Hoanh Son, Huong Son, Vu Quang, Duc Tho is generally 150-300mm, locally over 500mm.
