Prolonged rain and floods have caused landslides at hundreds of points on national highways in Thanh Hoa province, causing traffic congestion.

On the afternoon of September 23, according to statistics from the Department of Transport of Thanh Hoa province, due to the impact of heavy rain and floods, since September 21, landslides, road surface sedimentation, and ditch sedimentation have occurred at 182 locations on National Highways (QL).

Highway 15 has 10 locations, with a volume of about 4,100m3. Currently, there are 2 locations at Km35+950, ​​Km39+580 (Hoi Xuan town, Quan Hoa district) that are congested.

QL 15C has 140 locations, volume of about 46,481m3, currently 4 locations remaining Km55+600, Km80+350, Km96+100, Km96+510 (in Muong Lat district) are congested.

National Highway 16 has 9 locations, volume of about 3,916m3, the remaining location at Km40+500 (Muong Lat district) is blocked.

QL 217 has 16 locations, volume of about 3,4653 m3, and has been opened to traffic. QL 47 has 7 locations, volume of about 2,047 m3 and has been opened to traffic.

In addition to national highways, heavy rain also flooded 19 locations on provincial roads such as: 518, 518B, 519, 520B, 521B, 522, 523, 523B, 523D, 523E, 530B, 530C, 530D... causing traffic jams.
