On November 27, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee informed: During the recent flood, the locality recorded 63 deaths and 8 missing people; 133 houses collapsed and were completely damaged; many transportation, medical, educational, irrigation infrastructure... were severely damaged; millions of livestock and poultry died.
Nearly 99,500 aquaculture cages were damaged; about 70,000 hectares of annual and perennial crops were flooded and damaged. The preliminary estimate of total damage to date is nearly 5,500 billion VND.
During natural disasters, the Provincial Military Command mobilized more than 7,500 officers, soldiers and 160 vehicles for rescue.
At the same time, the Provincial Police mobilized more than 5,000 soldiers, nearly 290 vehicles... to support overcoming the consequences of floods.
At the same time, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee mobilized more than 7,000 people to participate in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.
During the flood, the province received more than 132.226 billion VND from localities, organizations and individuals to support the recovery work; the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels received and distributed 1,500 tons of goods (worth 42 billion VND) and 4,000 gifts to support people in affected areas.
In particular, the Government has promptly provided the province with 650 billion VND and 4,000 tons of rice to provide relief to the people. The province has also urgently spent more than 8.6 billion VND from the budget to purchase, reserve and distribute emergency relief goods. At the same time, the decision was made to allocate 130 billion VND to localities and units to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
Regarding support for affected households, the province decided to support poor households with VND3 million/household, the remaining households with VND1.5 million/household, with a total estimated cost of about VND500 billion; support households with deceased households with VND25 million/person from the state budget and the provincial Relief Fund.
In addition, support for seriously injured people is 5 million VND/person; support for households with dead or missing people is 15 million VND/person...
Up to now, national highways, provincial roads, power supply systems, water supply, telecommunications, schools, health stations, etc. have been basically repaired; all affected households have received relief goods from organizations and individuals.
The work of overcoming damage to infrastructure, allocating goods and support funds for people in affected areas is continuing to be urgently deployed by all levels and sectors.
