More than 3 tons of goods transported by plane from Hai Phong to Dak Lak to support people

Hai Phong - In the face of severe flooding in Dak Lak province, the Hai Phong Women's Union has promptly launched a program to support people.

According to the Hai Phong Women's Union, after 3 days of launching, the Union has raised more than 200 million VND in cash and in-kind items worth nearly 160 million VND. All cash was immediately transferred to Dak Lak to buy necessities and provide timely support to the people.

On November 25, the Association continued to transport more than 3 tons of goods to Dak Lak by plane, including 2.5 tons of rice and nearly 1 ton of new clothes sponsored by garment enterprises in the city. Previously, the Association's working group transported food and essential items by road to the East and West of Dak Lak to provide emergency support to the people.

In addition to Dak Lak, in recent times, the Hai Phong Women's Union has also implemented many volunteer activities towards localities affected by natural disasters. In Nghe An, the Association supported 20 tons of rice, food and essential items, with a total value of nearly 400 million VND; in Bac Ninh, the Association supported 5 tons of rice and necessities, with a total value of nearly 200 million VND. The total budget and assets mobilized and supported by the Hai Phong Women's Union for Dak Lak, Nghe An and Bac Ninh in this period reached nearly 1 billion VND.

The activities are implemented quickly and flexibly by the Association, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love of the Hai Phong business community. Thereby, contributing to the city's good implementation of the task of supporting localities to overcome the consequences of natural disasters according to the direction of the Central Government.
