In particular, the impact of prolonged rain many days ago collapsed 2 houses, in Xuan Ai commune, killing 2 people and injuring 3 others.
In addition, floods in recent days have also caused a lot of damage to agricultural production, the total area of rice and crops, fruit trees that were broken and buried was over 35 hectares (including 20.6 hectares of rice; 14.4 hectares of corn).
Regarding infrastructure damage, floods have caused National Highways 4D, 279; Provincial Roads 151, 154, 155, 156, 162 and many rural traffic routes to be flooded and landslides, causing traffic congestion.
In localities such as Muong Hum and Lung Phinh communes, floods and rains have caused 3 irrigation works to be severely damaged (The irrigation works of Ky Quan San village, Muong Hum commune were eroded 10m of the main ditch; the irrigation works of Lenh Sui Thang village and Tan Chu village, Lung Phinh commune were damaged over 350m of canals.
The estimated damage caused by the flood is about 4.8 billion VND.

Immediately after the natural disaster, Vinasarcom of Lao Cai province directed relevant agencies and commune authorities to immediately deploy solutions to overcome the consequences, search for missing people, visit, and support people to repair their houses to stabilize their lives.
The Lao Cai Provincial Project Management and Traffic Construction Maintenance Board promptly deploys repairs to landslides to clear the road to serve people's travel and the circulation of goods.
