According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 11:00 AM on May 13, in the Northern region, reservoirs on the Da River system continued to maintain power generation with large flows.
Son La Lake has an upstream water level of 204.94 m, lower than the normal water level by 215 m; water inflow to the lake reaches 2,105 m3/s, total discharge output of 1,040 m3/s.
Hoa Binh Lake reached a water level of 106.11 m, inflow to the lake 577 m3/s, total discharge output reached 2,442 m3/s. Lai Chau Lake discharged electricity 1,538 m3/s; Tuyen Quang and Thac Ba Lakes discharged 128.74 m3/s and 146.34 m3/s respectively.
Meanwhile, Ban Chat and Huoi Quang are near the normal water level, and no discharge has occurred.
In the North Central region, Trung Son Lake maintains a water level of 157 m, discharging 83 m3/s of electricity; Ban Ve Lake has not discharged.
Khe Bo Lake recorded a total discharge output of 232.4 m3/s, while Quang Tri Lake has not generated discharge.
In the South Central Coast, most reservoirs have low water inflows and limited power generation.
Song Tranh 2 reservoir discharges 105 m3/s of electricity; Song Bung 4 discharges 49 m3/s; A Vuong discharges 10 m3/s; Song Hinh discharges 19.03 m3/s. Some other reservoirs have not yet generated discharge.
In the Central Highlands region, many lakes still generate electricity with moderate flow. Pleikron discharge 124 m³/s; Ialy discharge 94 m³/s; Se San 4 discharges 35 m³/s; Upper Kon Tum discharged 26.58 m³/s.
Some lakes discharge through local overflows such as An Khe (8 m³/s), Srepok 3 (0.78 m³/s) and Buon Kuop (15.82 m³/s). Dai Ninh Lake discharges to generate 19 m³/s of electricity, many other lakes have not yet generated discharge.
In the Southeast region, Tri An reservoir has a water level of 57.42 m, water inflow to the reservoir 130 m3/s, total discharge output of 435 m3/s.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on May 13th, the Northern region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms in the evening and tonight, with locally heavy rain.
