According to reservoir operation data, at 5:00 AM on July 13, in the Northwest region, Hoa Binh reservoir had an upstream water level of 104.52 m, lower than the normal water level by 12.48 m. Water inflow to the reservoir reached 3,988 m3/s, total discharge flow 4,492 m3/s, of which 1,557 m3/s through the spillway and 2,935 m3/s through the plant. The reservoir is maintaining the opening of 1 deep discharge gate.
Son La Lake recorded a water level of 196.51 m, 18.49 m lower than the normal water level; water inflow to the lake reached 2,892 m3/s, total discharge flow of 3,248 m3/s, all through the plant.
Lai Chau Lake reached 284.09 m, 10.91 m lower than the normal water level, with a total discharge flow of 1,630 m3/s. Ban Chat Lake reached 460.26 m, still 14.74 m lower; Huoi Quang Lake reached 369.56 m, only 0.44 m away from the normal water level.
In the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir has a water level of 105.1 m, lower than the normal water level by 14.9 m. The reservoir is opening 1 deep discharge gate, the total discharge flow reaches 1,230.97 m3/s, of which 481 m3/s passes through the spillway.
In the North Central region, Trung Son Lake has a water level of 156.13 m, lower than the normal water level by 3.87 m and is operating 3 surface discharge gates with a total discharge flow of 1,100 m3/s. Ban Ve Lake reached 171.82 m, lower by 28.18 m compared to the normal water level, currently not discharging water. Khe Bo and Quang Tri Lakes maintain power generation operation, not discharging through spillways.
In the South Central Coast and Central Highlands regions, most reservoirs continue to maintain water levels below the normal water level. Ialy Lake reached 494.32 m, 20.68 m lower; Pleikrông reached 547.53 m, 22.47 m lower; Thượng Kon Tum reached 1,143.95 m, 16.05 m lower; Đồng Nai 4 reached 474.51 m, 1.49 m lower.
Some lakes with water levels approaching the normal water level include Huoi Quang (0.44 m lower), Se San 3 (0.02 m lower), Da Mi (1.05 m lower) and Tri An reaching 51.73 m, 10.27 m lower than the normal water level.
According to operating data, in addition to Hoa Binh and Tuyen Quang reservoirs opening 1 deep discharge gate, Trung Son reservoir opening 3 surface discharge gates, most of the remaining hydropower reservoirs do not discharge through spillways but mainly generate electricity through generating units.
