According to reservoir operation data, at 10:00 AM on July 12, in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang hydropower reservoir recorded an upstream water level of 105.82 m, 120 m lower than the normal water level. Water flow to the reservoir reached 735 m3/s, while the total discharge flow was 1,230.41 m3/s, including 491 m3/s through the spillway and 739.41 m3/s through the plant. The reservoir is opening 1 deep discharge gate.

In the Northwest region, Hoa Binh hydropower reservoir has a water level of 104.64 m, about 12.36 m lower than the normal water level of 117 m. The water flow to the reservoir reached 4,481 m3/s, almost equivalent to the total discharge flow of 4,474 m3/s. In which, the discharge flow through the spillway reached 1,559 m3/s and through the plant 2,915 m3/s. The reservoir is maintaining the opening of 1 deep discharge gate.

Son La hydropower reservoir recorded a water level of 196.51 m, water inflow to the reservoir of 3,579 m3/s and total discharge of 3,301 m3/s, all through the plant.

Lai Chau Lake has a water level of 284.05 m, water inflow to the lake reaches 1,627 m3/s, total discharge volume 1,470 m3/s through the plant.

Meanwhile, Huoi Quang reservoir has a water level of 369.46 m, water inflow to the reservoir 219 m3/s, total discharge 259 m3/s. Ban Chat reservoir reached a water level of 460.07 m, water inflow to the reservoir 257 m3/s and total discharge 68 m3/s.

For Thac Ba Lake, the upstream water level reached 52.01 m, the water inflow to the lake was 360 m3/s and water discharge has not been carried out.

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on July 12, the Northern region will have rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain.
